What's New with Version 3.0

Version 3.0 of DerbyDMV™ makes it even easier for you to create mock driver's licenses for your racers. There are also several new features to add fun to issuing the licenses.

Here's a summary of what's new:

• Photos
  • Improved photo quality when taking snapshots directly from a web cam or video camera.
  • When taking snapshots directly from a web cam or video camera, a full-sized snapshot will be saved and then an optimum sized one will be created (if necessary). This allows you to use the full-sized photos for other purposes, like a slideshow or photo gallery.
• Racer Data Entry
  • Added the ability to import racer data directly from a GrandPrix Race Manager data file. You no longer have to first export the data from GrandPrix Race Manager.
  • Added a generic import ability, so you can import data that has been exported from a variety of other software packages that maintain your racer information (pack or club management software, spreadsheets, databases, etc).
  • Improved the file import to ignore racers that have already been imported. You can add data to your original import file and then be able to re-import it with no problem.
  • Improved the undo capability and added redo capability.
  • Added an auto save capability when leaving a row of data.
  • When data is saved, the last used record will be re-selected and current sorting will be maintained.
• Pit Passes
  • Added the ability to create pit passes to identify your race crew members or for racers to wear during the race.
  • Pit passes can be worn around the neck during the race. Use commercially available name badge holders and lanyards or simply laminate the passes, punch a hole and use a loop of string.
  • Enter your race crew and their job position. The job position field is customizable, so you can use it for other information.
  • If used for racers, all the same information that can be displayed on a driver's license can also be displayed on a pit pass.
  • Print the pit passes to standard name badge paper (Avery template 5390 or equivalent). The paper is perforated for easy separation of the pit passes.
• Driver's Test Entry
  • Improved the undo capability and added redo capability.
